Our youth academy is for 7 - 17 year olds who are interested in developing their skills in acting, singing, dancing, and performance whilst having fun and socialising with like minded youngsters in a safe and well supervised environment. Our rehearsals are always supervised and run by suitably CRB checked individuals, so you can be assured your children are in safe hands.

We introduced the youth academy as we recognised that with an expanding junior membership, there was a need for us to perform youth only productions to provide our younger members with adequate opportunities throughout the year. Whilst we are able to offer opportunities for members of all ages to shine equally in musical revues and concerts, there are few major musicals that would enable us to offer roles for both the younger members and adults at the same time, which would not only limit the musicals e could choose from but also the chance for our members to develop their talents and skills by taking on lead roles. We therefore aim for the Youth Academy to perform at least one production of their own per year, as well as taking part in a further major production with the Theatrical Society.

Since the Youth Academy began in 2010 they have performed Disney's Aladdin Junior and Disney’s High School Musical Junior on their own, both of which were very successful and taken part in 'Once Upon A Time' and ‘The Treasures of Broadway’ as joint ventures with our adult company.

Their next production for 2012 will be Disney’s Alice In Wonderland Junior and they will also be performing alongside the adults in The Sound Of Music.
